The return of Rhymes With Opera's popular Salon series featured performances from NYC area ensembles. In addition, this Salon included a special preview performance of The Impossible She (music by Daniel Thomas Davis), slated for its world premiere in May 2019.

Rhymes With Opera presents the world premiere of Daniel Thomas Davis’s new opera The Impossible She. This new opera focuses on the life of Eleanor Roosevelt, juxtaposing aspects of the first lady’s personal relationships with her political persona as experienced by a fictitious radio-listener.

In addition to this one-act opera, Rhymes With Opera will also present the world premiere of Colin Read’s On Loneliness and Solitude. Both Read’s and Davis’s works were commissioned by Rhymes With Opera.
