bits and pieces for preview

ruby here. my project for our first show is starting to come together. it is a one-person opera called Closer To Mona; i’m collaborating with bonnie lander (soprano) and amy kirsten (composer who is writing the libretto). the story is about five different characters who are all obsessed with the mona lisa… a janitor, a visitor, an artist, a curator, and a thief. each of them has a beat made up of splices and samples of bonnie’s recorded voice, which i’m putting together on the computer. the beats are going to eventually do all kinds of wild and wacky stuff, but you can preview them in their calmly looping states below.
